Anything Goes! A New Challenge Starts over at The Stamping Chef...

Hello Again,

Well, it's that time again!  The awesome challenge has started again over at The Stamping Chef Challenge Blog and as always the theme is Anything Goes!  So, it's a chance to put down the Christmas stuff and grab your creativity!

In that spirit, here's what I came up with and not a Jingle Bell in sight!

I know I say this a lot...but...this may be my favourite make of 2014!  I just love how it turned out!

Here's what I used:
Image: Noisette collection by The Stamping Chef.  It's a fabulous pack with the digi stamp, backing paper, mixed media cogs and butterflies that for the second sheet of backing I over laid onto the edge of the sheet in My Craft Studio and then printed and cut out.  I also printed the butterflies again bigger so I could layer.
Extra's: bakers twine from my stash, pearl brads, glossy accents and Cosmic Shimmer gilding wax!

Here's How:
Oh boy this was so easy but I adore it!
I printed the backing paper from the Noisette set to fit with an edge on a 7x7 inch card base.  I stuck that onto black card and then onto the card base card.
I printed the backing again, but this time I reduced the size to 5.5 inch square and then in my craft studio I added the digital cogs and butterflies (that come in the Noisette download!) so that they hung over the edges of the paper.  Then I cut it out and put in the centre of the card (raised on foam tape).
The image was coloured with Graph'it Markers (sorry no colours today, I forgot! doh) and then layered onto black card.
Now my favourite bit!  I used the new Phil Martin blue Cosmic Shimmer gilding wax on the edges of the black mat for the image and on the main card and wow!  It looks gorgeous and the pics don't really show it to the best effect so trust me...just get them if you haven't yet!
I added glossy accents to the balloon, the clock face on her hat and to her eyes for an extra shine.
Finally, I cut the larger butterflies I had printed and layered them onto the card and I added the limited edition banner (also from the Noisette download!) and viola!

Here's the close ups:

I think I'll keep this one for a while, just to smile at! lol

Thank you so much for popping by and don't forget to check out the Stamping Chef Challenge Blog to see what the rest of the team is up to!

Happy Crafting :D

I'm nuts about you! Can only be The Stamping Chef!

Hello Again,

Anything Goes is the theme, on The Stamping Chef Challenge Blog each and every Wednesday, so I'm here to share another of my DT inspiration makes with you x

This time I'm showcasing a fabulous new image from Tamara, called 'Nuts About You'!

Isn't she dreamy :D

Here's what I used to make it:

Card basics: 6" square card blank; black and white card for matting and layering
Backing papers: Papermania paper pad I've had for far too long!  I've decided to use up all the papers I've either got stashed (or at least make a dent in the pile!) and all that I've printed before I print any more!  Lets see how long I last hehe
Insert: Papermania matching backing paper; white card die cut with Spellbinders Labels 2 and aqua sticky gems (well there had to be bling somewhere lol)
Image: Nuts About You by The Stamping Chef coloured with my Graph'it Marker Pens, using the aqua's, oranges and a fabulous blonde colour combo (1210, 1230, 1280 & 3125)
Embellies: I decided to go minimal as I love the vibrant colours of her hair and dress so, bakers twine, punched butterflies and a touch of perfect pearls was all I used.  Oh and 3D hearts.  Top Tip: these were made from punching 3 hearts (one white, two black) and folding each down the middle, then glueing one side of the first to the second, the second side of the second to the third and then sticking open to the paper, adorable :D

Here's the close ups:

I really hope you enjoyed your visit and thank you for popping in.  Please make sure you leave a comment before you go :D

Anything Goes! A new challenge at The Stamping Chef....

Hello again,

It's the start of a new challenge over at The Stamping Chef Challenge Blog and the theme as always is Anything Goes!  A favourite theme for us all because it means we as crafters can let our crafty selves go....here's my DT inspiration for this challenge.....

I have used the totally gorgeous fairy image called Fairy Nuff!

I have coloured her with my Graph'it Marker pens using the gorgeous aqua's and pinks for the wings with a skin blend of 4115, 4155, 4180, 3120, 6150 and hair of 1230, 1250, 1280, 3110.

The backing paper is from Michele R Designs and is called Vintage Garden Party

I have added art board butterflies, pearls and a bunting pin from Live and Love Crafts.

I have matted onto Kraft card and distressed the edges, inking with Tim Holtz distress ink in brushed corderoy.

The sentiment is a download from Create with TLC

The silver dust around the image is metal melt in antique silver.

Here is the close ups.....

I love how she turned out and a lot more of me, with all the distressing and ragged edges :D

Smexy Christmas anyone!

Hello again,

Over at The Stamping Chef Challenge blog the theme is Anything Goes, which gives us so much room to try our new stamps, new papers and new embellishments without having to make to a particular style!

My Design Team inspiration for you this week was a make that changed form several times!  You know those days when you have an idea of how its going to be and then realise that what you're making is nothing like your first intentions lol

So here she is!  She's called Checking Out (for the Year)

I coloured her with my Graph'it Marker Pens and double matted her and all the papers.

The backing papers are from Michele R Designs called Santa is Coming to Town.  If you haven't seen these paper you should go check them out, instant download and so easy to print, I adore them...you can also find Michele on facebook - here's the link to her page Michele R Designs Facebook page

Back to my smexy image!
Don't you just think she'll make an ace Christmas card for that special someone!

Make sure you check out the facebook page the The Stamping Chef if you haven't already - press HERE

I added embellishmentsn and made the fan from netting and I cut strips of hessian to hand roll into roses (and yes I did burn myself, twice in fact! doh!)

Here's the close ups (you know how I love pictures to tell the story lol)

I really hope you fall in love with her as much as I did!

So, don't forget to add your make this week into The Stamping Chef Challenge and take a peek (you'll be there drooling for a while!) at The Stamping Chef web shop.

I would really love to see your entries and of course there are some fab giveaways as prizes thanks to the uber talented Tamara from the Stamping Chef x

Oh my I LOVED doing this one, she is such a delight to colour :D

The image is We Like It Dirty and I have coloured her up with my Graph'it Marker pens - I chose red and pink for the image to make her pop from the card and hopefully I achieved that!

Now to the backing and the gorgeous embellies......they are all from a gorgeous set called Don't Stop Mixed Media Papers and Elements Bundle, yes ALL the embellies are from that set!  I am in love!  The bottle tops are so easy to print and cut and bend up, and the newsprint butterflies are just amazing, book page leaves, the speech bubble and the wording.....

These are just a VERY small selection of what you get!  You really should check it out :D
I did sneak in another backing paper, the script is from Silk Promises backing papers set from The Stamping Chef and it was too yummy not to put on there :D

A new challenge for you and me!

Hello again,

Very exciting news indeed - I have joined The Stamping Chef Design Team :)  I totally love Tamara's images so this is very very exciting for me indeed and it gives me the chance to share a new challenge with you :)

The Stamping Chef Challenge Blog runs weekly challenges with the theme 'Anything Goes' and here is my first DT inspiration for you....

Isn't the image adorable!
I have used Cogsey Copperpot from the steampunk collection and coloured her with my Graph'it Marker Pens
Skin: 4120, 4115, 4155, 4145
Hair: 1230, 3210, 3245
Clothes: 5210, 5220, 3150, 3170, 9509, 9507, 9504, 9501

The backing paper and tags are from the wonderful MichelleR Designs and I have layered vintage lace over the top.
The die cuts were all cut on my sillouette and coloured black with a marker pen then rubbed over with red and then gold Buff It from Pinflare (my new love!).
I added flower lace to the edging and a couple of wood hearts (also coloured with red Buff It) and that was it :)
