Add a bit of Twinkle!! The challenge over at Polkadoodles Challenge Blog....

Hello again,

As all of us crafters know, Christmas in July is here again and the design team and me are joining in at Polkadoodles Challenge blog with this times theme.....

The challenge also combines with the launch of the new Christmas CD from Polkadoodles Work and Play Festive Hollybobs CD which is a must have this year, with fabulous images, characters, embellies, backgrounds, templates and more...take a peek and you won't be sorry!  Anyways...back to the challenge at hand...
 
I chose to work with the wonderful crackers digi image from Work and Play Festive Hollybobs and decided to do something a little different to my projects of late!  I printed the image on craft card and coloured them with my Graph'it Marker pens - the lighter pens will not show as well on craft card so I added a darker shade at the end of each combo and I really liked the effect.  The frame around the pair is covered with gold flakes (a messy job but I love it) and then mounted on various layers of distressed papers; hand-made papers, brown packing paper and a post card plus heart embellies (also from Work and Play Festive Hollybobs, no end to the usefulness of the CD).  The hearts were glazed with sepia glossy accents and the post card was covered with clear crackle paint and allowed to dry.
 
Added together with torn paper fans, string, craft paper die cut swirls and inked dollies I have to say I am very happy with the result and I hope you like it :)
