Hello again,
Another commission make I'd like to share with you based on a card I did a while back. The simple style was chosen by a friend who asked me to a make a special Christmas card for someone special, so I'd like to share it with you now I can.
This is another short post as we are all so very busy with family at this time of year that I don't want to keep you too long xxx
Here it is:
No digi stamp, just the sentiment and the added name...I think it turned out so effective that I will be doing more similar in future :D
The sentiment is double layered on white card, a technique I've shared before with you that works so well to lift the image without taking the eye away from it. I added a touch of blue guilding wax by Cosmic Shimmer to the edges (its one of Phil Martins colours)
The backing papers are from Michele R Designs as is the insert
The snowflakes are cut on my sillouette
The bling, flowers, charms, white gesso, pearls and other embellies are from That Craft Place
Top Tip: the voile edging is again pleated using my hot glue gun, one pleat at a time! So much quicker than sewing (which I can't lol) and a new tip is that I use my large embossing tool (large ball on the end) to push the voile into the hot glue! Keeps my fingers away and the glue comes off the metal ball end so easily its a great trick xx
Here's the close ups:
Thank you so much for stopping by I really do appreciate you taking the time xxx
Happy Crafting and a Happy New Year to you and yours
Sandie xxx

Seeing Red...but in a totally good way :D
Hello Again,
Well, this is my final scheduled post for the Diva's by Design Challenge Blog as I mentioned a while ago, Rebekah has decided to close the challenge blog at the end of the year and I want to say to her and the team that I've had a ball :D It's been a totally awesome team and challenge to be a part of so I hope I've done this final challenge DT piece justice for you hun xxx
The theme is Seeing Red! Festive or otherwise, but we need to see red in your makes...so here's my final DT inspiration for you...
I have never tried a white on white background before and I am so happy with the way it turned out!
Here's what I used to make it:
Image: Tiddly Inks Wryn Goes Caroling
Colouring: with my Graph'it Marker Pens and an apology! Because I have had so many cards to make for the holidays I totally forgot to mark down the colours used...but my red combo doesn't change, my fav is 5210, 5255, 5270, 5280 with a touch of 9407 to add real depth..I love the dark rich texture this combo gives.
Printed onto 300gsm Super Smooth card from That Craft Place - I have totally changed to this for my markers, its is totally amazing and give a fabulous blend with virtually no bleed through.
Backing: white paper layerd, with the top layer being embossed using an Xcut star embossing folder and the scalloped circle die also from Xcut. Xcut dies can be found at The Craft Place. The insert is a paper from DCWV that I have had for yonks
Embellies: Glittered voile from The Range, pearl string and glitter from my stash and snowflakes cut from my sillouette. The Christmas tree is hand made TOP TIP alert! Cut a piece of card in a rectangle with the smallest side being the width you want for the bottom layer of the tree...and cut into 3 equal pieces along the long edge...the cut a triangle triangles! BUT on the 2nd on cut off a little from the width so its a little smaller and then do the same again for the 3rd (smaller than the 2nd obviously lol)...make sense...good...add a small rectangle for the trunk and drizzle cosmic shimmer glue (or PVA) then dust with glitter! A tree from scraps yay.

The theme is Seeing Red! Festive or otherwise, but we need to see red in your makes...so here's my final DT inspiration for you...
| I used the theme colour RED as my focal point of the card and nested it into a pure white background! |
| But, to ensure I followed the theme I added a glorious red insert lol |

It's a Nordic Christmas
Hello Again,
I seem to be in a bit of a CAS (clean & simple) design mode lately so I challenged myself to interpret the essential elements of a Nordic style into a CAS make, and it tied in nicely with the challenge over at Polkadoodles and as I had already made this one, I thought I'd still share.....
....and here's what I came up with.....
I loved how this one turned out....and I hope you do too...how cute does the 'ickle Reindeer look!
Here's what I used to make it:
Images: The Reindeer is pre-coloured, and the North Pole does come pre-coloured but I chose to colour it up with my Graph'it Marker Pens. Both images are from the gorgeous Work & Play 5 Festive Hollybobs CD Collection that is also available as a complete collection Digital Download!
Sentiment: Is also from Work & Play Festive Hollybobs Collection
Backing: from my stash...white card, dark antique silver card. Double layered to add depth and definition to the main design
Embellies: Glamour dust sprinkled over cosmic shimmer glue adds the snow (this way you keep the 3D effect) and snowflakes with bling that I bought from our local The Works shop.
Insert: backing paper also from Work & Play Festive Hollybobs
So simple, yest I love how dramatic the images look on this syle :D

But....back to my interprestation of the Photo Inspiration...I took some of the essential elements from the photo, Christmas swags, presents, ribbon and sparkle and this is what I came up with.....
I know...another CAS (clean and simple) card from me..the Queen of embellies! Its must be catching lol :D
