Anything Goes....perfect time to join in at Aud Sentiments Challenge Blog!

Hello again,

Isn't January a long month!  Always a bit of had Christmas, long time 'till summer feeling about so it's a perfect time to join us over at Aud Sentiment Challenge Blog for a fabulous Anything Goes challenge and let your creativity run a muck!

Our delicious sponsor this time is Sassy Studio Designs and the image I got to play with is the gorgeous Latte Momma Sassy and here's the design I came up with...

Purple is not one of my fav colours so I challenged myself with this one to use purple tones and come out of my comfort zone...not 100% sure on it now its finished but the children assure me it looks ace so here it is lol :D

Here's what I used:
Image: Latte Momma Sassy by Sassy Studio Designs
Colour and image backing: Coloured with Graph'it Marker pens: hair tones 2105, 2120, 2140, 2160, 3160; Clothes: 9400, 9402, 9404, 6110, 6120, 6140, 6180
300gsm super smooth card from That Craft Place
Backing: papers from my stash...can't remember where as I'm still trying to use up the pile I have of bits and bobs!  Cosmic shimmer mica spray was used around the image (from That Craft Place)
Embellies: purple burlap - a find in the Pound Shop!, lace from stash, Flowers, wooden owls and pearls are all from my stash but check out embellies at That Craft Place especially MDF pieces!
Sentiment: Create with TLC .... TOP TIP if you haven't checked this one out yet you really must!  Paulette is so generous with her free sentiments and has fab designs too xx

Here's how:
No special tricks this time...matting and layering of papers and burlap is how I created this piece, placing the image to the side gives room for a whole host of flowers and bits and pieces.  I love using old brads (oh TOP TIP!  see I have got one!  I use old brads that I don't use any more..they seem to have gone out of fashion, by cutting the prongs off the back and then hot glueing them just as you would any flat back embellishment!  a whole new set of embellies to play with now lol).  Around the image I used cosmic shimmer spray in a tonal colour and I applied it by spraying it on my glass mat and then dabbing it on the image with an almost dry scrunched up baby wipe!
The insert is matching paper and that's about that.

Here's the close ups:

Thank you so much for taking the time to visit and I hope you liked my make for today :D  Please start to follow me so that I can share more of my makes with you all x

A present I can now share...The perfect image by Saturated Canary

Hello again,

Another post Christmas share from me today...and a much shorted write up you'll be pleased to know lol

This one was a Christmas present for my step-daughter as she has recently moved to a whole new town, new job, miles away to move in with her fabulous girlfriend Rachel.

We are so proud of them both that I wanted to make something special for their first home together.

The totally awesome Krista from Saturated Canary then posted a new image called Freedom and that was it...totally perfect :D

I coloured her with my Graph'it Markers, cut her square on white 300gsm super smooth paper (from That Craft Place) and then put her in a 15x15 cm box frame.

The box frame gave me the room to add the 'junk' as I like to call it from my stash.  Flowers, lace, pearls, well you'll see in the pics.

I added the name of the image by hand as I wanted them to know it was from the heart and that was it xx

Here's the pics...

Thank you so much for stopping by at this busy time of year and crafty hugs to you xx

Happy Crafting :D

Diva's by Designs launch there final challenge, so lets go out on a high....

Hello Again,

It's a sad day, and not technically my turn to post but both teams decided that on the farewell post for Diva's By Design Challenge blog we would all pull together and support Rebekah and the team to go out with a bang!

We really hope that all of you will join us too, enter the challenge and show Rebekah and the team how you've loved the blog and send it on its way with a smile on its face (if blogs can smile lol)

The theme is Anything Goes, so let your creativity go wild and join our final farewell challenge....

Here's my make:

I was asked to make a card that said 'To my Wife' at Christmas so this was what I came up with :D

Here's what I used:
Image: Pulling Crackers due from Festive Hollybobs by Polkadoodles
Coloured: with my Graph'it marker pens, and printed on 300gsm super smooth card from That Craft Place
Background: DCWV papers I have in my stash, still trying to use some up lol and tags from the same collection
Embellies: perfect pearls, lace, ribbon and resin bird from That Craft Place

Here's how:
Easy one; again I used a 7x7" card base (an 8x8" cut down) to allow hangover elements to add dimension but still allow for it to go in the envelope!
I layered DCWV papers, distressed the edges with the Tim Holz/Ranger distressing tool thingy and layered them random style.
I added the image raised on 3D foam and as I had printed on 300gsm card there is no need to add a matting layer so I chose not too.
I then added matching tags and banners to coordinate with a little added bling and perfect pearls.  Then Voila!

Here's the close ups

Thank you so much for stopping by and please do leave me a comment as I really really appreciate reading them all xx

Seeing Red...but in a totally good way :D

Hello Again,

Well, this is my final scheduled post for the Diva's by Design Challenge Blog as I mentioned a while ago, Rebekah has decided to close the challenge blog at the end of the year and I want to say to her and the team that I've had a ball :D  It's been a totally awesome team and challenge to be a part of so I hope I've done this final challenge DT piece justice for you hun xxx

The theme is Seeing Red!  Festive or otherwise, but we need to see red in your makes...so here's my final DT inspiration for you...

I used the theme colour RED as my focal point of the card and nested it into a pure white background!

But, to ensure I followed the theme I added a glorious red insert lol
I have never tried a white on white background before and I am so happy with the way it turned out!

Here's what I used to make it:

Image: Tiddly Inks Wryn Goes Caroling
Colouring: with my Graph'it Marker Pens and an apology!  Because I have had so many cards to make for the holidays I totally forgot to mark down the colours used...but my red combo doesn't change, my fav is 5210, 5255, 5270, 5280 with a touch of 9407 to add real depth..I love the dark rich texture this combo gives.
Printed onto 300gsm Super Smooth card from That Craft Place - I have totally changed to this for my markers, its is totally amazing and give a fabulous blend with virtually no bleed through.
Backing: white paper layerd, with the top layer being embossed using an Xcut star embossing folder and the scalloped circle die also from Xcut.  Xcut dies can be found at The Craft Place.  The insert is a paper from DCWV that I have had for yonks
Embellies: Glittered voile from The Range, pearl string and glitter from my stash and snowflakes cut from my sillouette.  The Christmas tree is hand made TOP TIP alert!  Cut a piece of card in a rectangle with the smallest side being the width you want for the bottom layer of the tree...and cut into 3 equal pieces along the long edge...the cut a triangle triangles!  BUT on the 2nd on cut off a little from the width so its a little smaller and then do the same again for the 3rd (smaller than the 2nd obviously lol)...make sense...good...add a small rectangle for the trunk and drizzle cosmic shimmer glue (or PVA) then dust with glitter!  A tree from scraps yay.

Here's the close ups:

Guest Design Team make for Not Just Cards Challenge Blog...

Well Hello Again,

Another post from me today and another invite to be Guest Designer!  This time for Not Just Cards Challenge

I adore this challenge blog and have been adding my designs to their challenges since they first started :D  As always, the theme is Anything Goes with the fabulous sponsor....Aurora Wings Digital Stamps, and I am a massive fan so jumped at the chance to use one of Mitzi's images.

So here's my make....

Isn't she just awesome!

Here's what I used to make it:
Image: Marie-nyantoinette from Aurara Wings
Coloured: with my Graph'it Marker pens using the gorgeous aqua's, 7210, 7220, 7240, 7260
Backing papers: Rose Cottage Designs Elements pack 2 by Michele R Designs
Embellies: lace from my stash coloured with 7210 Graph'it marker pen, ribbon, pearl slider and bling - check out That Craft Place for a ton of funky embellies

Here's how:
I used the tags from the elements paper pack to create the background, hanging them over the edge of the card base so I could add ribbon and lace to the tags and create movement.  The insert was made by laying tickets from the element pack in a square to give the illusion of a base and leaving room to write the greetings.  The main image is double layered on white card stock from my stash as I think it gives a great framing effect that is more subtle and allows the image to pop.

Here's the close ups:

So I need to say a big thank you to the team at Not Just Cards Challenge Blog for inviting me to be Guest Designer for this times challenge and please pop over to the main blog to see what the Design Team have been up to and join me in the challenge :D

GDT make for Love To Create Challenge Blog...

Hello Again,

I was so happy to be asked to be a Guest Design Team member for Love to Create Challenge Blog they are a fantastic team and it's a challenge I play along with all the time:D

Here's the challenge details:
Challenge #145
Theme: Holiday Cheer (Non-traditional colors)

And here is my GDT make....

It was great fun making a Christmas card without using the traditional red and green :D

Here's what I used to make it:
Image: Frosty Snowflake Fairy from A Day For Daisies
Coloured: with my Graph'it Marker pens (pinks are 4135, 5110 and 5130) with added PeeWee glitter and Cosmic Shimmer PVA in Pink available from That Craft Place (facebook group to shop and order every month)
Backing papers: by Michele R Designs and are HERE
Embellies: all available from That Craft Place

How did I make it!
The backing to this one is made by using the elements pack from Michele R Designs and cutting multiple tags and tickets.  I then hole punched the tags adding lace and then layered then at different angles over the 7"x7" card base (with some hang over, but still to fit an 8x8 envelope).  I filled the gaps with the tickets, some were raised using foam pads (from That Craft Place) and some hanging over.  The voile was added using the hot glue gun to gather it in places and then I added the mini glitter balls randomly.  The tag was edged in a pearl string to hide the fact I can't cut circles! lol
Finally I added 2 cut tags as the insert and there you go :D

The close ups:

I would like to say a massive thank you to the team at the Love to Create Challenge Blog for inviting me to be their Guest Designer and I hope you all hop over to the main blog to see what the DT have been up to and join the challenge.

Thank you for visiting my blog once again and thank you for all your comments, they are appriciated.

Happy Crafting :D

Here's what I used to make it:

Image: Snow Queen Sassy from Sassy Studio Designs coloured with my Graph'it Marker pens
