No spring flowers, but instead a fabulous Sun and spring colours in the image and papers, just a touch, as to me, Spring is about colour just starting to push through the grey haze of winter skies.

Inspired by...but my card has a hidden pressie!

Hello there,

I love spending time looking around the Spectrum Noir tutorials on the website, so much inspiration and way's to improve technique...because lets face it, somedays all the inspiration goes on its holidays and usually just when you need it! lol

So, as I was looking around I found a tutorial that got me thinking about colouring clothing and making sure I have highlights...here's my finished image after I had read through the fabulous hints and tips...(and keep reading, as my card has a little hidden extra!)

Here's what I used to make it:

Inspiration taken from a previous Spectrum Tutorial
http://www.spectrumnoir.com/coloring-the-dress-and-the-hat/

Image: That Craft Place Ltd
Spectrum Noir Markers:
Skin – FS2, 4, 6, 8, TN2
Hair – BG1, 2, 3, 5
Clothes – BT2, 4
Spectrum Sparkle Pen - Clear

Crafter’s Companion Neenah Solar White card
Crafter’s Companion Linen Texture Card
Coordinations Brights pad
Collal All Purpose & Collal 3D Glue Gel
Crafters Companion Red Liner Tape
Opaque white gel pen
Papers – Papermania Time Capsule
Die’s – Joy Crafts
Flowers, magnet and ribbon from stash
Sentiments – Make It Crafty

So, the hidden pressie?  Well......

It's a Book Mark!  Tucked in behind the heart and ready to use!

One of my daughter's has already nabbed it for her latest read lol

And decorate the back too...I always add a little pocket for little notes, words to look up etc

Have you tried Spectrum Sparkle pens on Ribbonn and Flowers?  Just look at the results!

And Spectrum Sparkle on die-cuts!  Awesome
Thank you so much for stopping by and I will see you again soon I hope xxx

Spectrum Noir Blending Embellishments Step by Step

Hello there,

Just popping in to let you know my latest video tutorial for Spectrum Noir Design Team is still on the Crafter's Companion Blog

This tutorial goes back to basics and shows how to practice the basic blending technique with Spectrum Noir markers, but in a way that uses up scrap card stock in a very useable manner.

Blending is one of those techniques that takes practice, and the tutorial covers 4 easy to put together note card designs that utilise the blending technique in a fun and surprisingly quick way.

The ideas covered in this tutorial can be used to try out new colour blends and also to build a library of blends for future use when colouring up full images and scenes.

Here's a sneak peek pic:

All colours and details for the step by step video are on the Crafter's Companion blog now!

Thank you so much for supporting me and my little blog and for popping by today :D

I do hope you hop on over and let me know what you think of my quickie makes xxx
