Mini Wallet with Times Gone By & Xyron

Hello again,

As a part of the Crafter's Companion Die'sire design team I am so lucky to get to play with some awesome new products and some old ones too like the 5 " Xyron Creative Station.  I'm sure many of you have got one and love them, but I have never tried so I was dancing when I was offered the chance to make some samples using one...make way for another piece of crafty kit (you all know how exciting that is for us crafters lol)

Crafter's Companion stock both the 5" and the 9" Creative Stations as well as the little one so you have plenty of options to tailor your purchase to your type of crafting

Away from my DT duties I just love to make mini albums and design my own mini wallets, gift card holders and the Xyron seemed the perfect fit for this type of project

Here's what I came up with:

I can't tell you how easy it was to put this together using the Xyron!  I cut all my pieces for the design, ran them all through the Xyron and then had them all on the carrier sheet waiting for me to place them and build the design up, layer by layer.  It was such a pleasure to do and no glue on my fingers! woohoo!

Here's what I used to make it before I end with the rest of the pics.....
1.
Style: Tri-fold Mini Gift Card Wallet
Xyron Machine, Permanent Adhesive Roll
Crafter’s Companion Matt Black card
Neenah cardstock
Crafter’s Companion Time’s Gone By CDrom
Big Score for scoring and folding
Embellies from That Craft Place attached with glue gun
Scallop square paper punch

Here's the inside of the wallet:

Thank you so much for stopping by and I would welcome a comment before you go if you have the time today :D  Become a follower of my little blog to see more makes coming up xxx

Thinking About Skin Tone...

Hello again,

I absolutely love that as a part of the Spectrum Noir Education Team, once a month we are asked to reflect on our own practice and take a look at past tutorials.

So, in my ongoing quest to find different skin tones with my Spectrum Noir markers I found a tutorial on 'Undertone Skin Colouring' and found the perfect stamp in my stash to follow it...

You can find the tutorial HERE if you'd like to try it for yourself :D

I really really like the green's as the undertone, wasn't sure at first but it looks so natural with her blonde hair and I teamed her dress on theme too so the skin reflections would be right :D

Here's the stuff I used:
Style: I just love using the Split or Pop Up Easel at the moment
Spectrum Noir Markers:
Skin: FS1, EB1, EB2, DG1 and blender
Hair: GB10, 6, 4
Clothes: CG1, 2, DG2, 4, TN7, 5, 4, 3, IG5, 3, 2
Materials:
Image: Allahna Warrior by Little Darlings Rubber Stamps
Neenah Solar White
Crafter’s Companion Matt Black card
Die’sire Downton Abbey Die – Feather Broach
Collal All Purpose and 3D glue

Graphic 45 paper pad, Petal Lu flowers, twine

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you loved my make today xxx

A Cute One....

Hello there,

In my expedition into Clean And Simple cards this year I have taken a look at 2 Cute Ink digital stamps and they are just adorable!

Here, I've coloured up this little guy with my Spectrum Noir Markers and thought he'd be just great for a little Christmas note card...

He is coloured so simply with Spectrum Noir markers:
JG2, 3, 4, IG7 (IG3 for his glasses) and CR10, DR4, 6, and 7.  The sharpened end is a touch of TN3 and 2
I have then covered him with Glossy Accents and left him over night to dry before mounting simply onto green then red card x

Isnt he just adorable!

Check out the Spectrum Noir Blog for lots more inspiration and some awesome tutorials with your Spectrum Products.

Thank you so much for stopping by x
