The Challenge is Cute and so may I say am I!

Hello again,

It's the 2nd of the Month so its time to start another challenge over at Crafting Muskateers Challenge Blog - the theme this time is 'Cute', and so may I say am I!  Not really but I've always wanted to use that phase hehe :D

The sponsor gave the design team so great images to work with, you should go check out what on offer over at Cuddly Buddly

Here's my DT inspiration for you...

It's almost a CAS card!  A change for me lol

Here's how and what...
Cuddly Buddly image, coloured with my Copic's markers.  The mouse is coloured in E11, E21, E04, E00 in flicking motions to try and get texture to his fur.
I always print my digi images on 300gsm super smooth card from That Craft Place (its also available in 160gsm so you can choose to suit you).
I decided for this one I was going to try to focus on the image and it was a challenge not to use my embellies and add lots of bits and bobs as regular visitors to my blog will know is fast becoming my signature designs hehe
I used two backing papers from Michele R Designs one as the insert and one as the base layer for the 6x6 card blank.  The designs are very soft so blend well into the design.
I cut multiple layers of white card so that they formed a pyramid towards the middle of the card. Each layer was then embossed with Frantage in Shabby Green on two edges.
The image and the middle layers of white card I put through my big shot using a Spellbinders die (adorning squares) and I then added Frantage to the edges.

TOP TIP:  to increase a focal point when using repeated patterns (a pyramid of white in this case) on the last layers do something different!  Here I offset the layers instead and raised them with foam tape.  Try it, it really works :D

Here's the close ups:
