I had to have a go!

Hello again,

A quick post as for once this is not pre-loaded, this is me live and in the middle of a thunderstorm so the power may go out again!  (already lost power 3 times in the last half hour!)  But I'm going to push on lol....

Saturated Canary have issued a Guest Design Team call and I thought no way, not me!  I see all the fabulous work by other talented crafters and I would not put myself in the same league but then I thought, how can I encourage others to take part in challenges if I don't challenge myself so here it is!

The image they asked the entries to use is the beautiful 'Kit' and here is my mixed media entry...

Here's how I made my project:
'Kit' is coloured with my Graph'it Marker Pens - the reds are so lush that they were perfect for the shabby chic look I was going for xx
Backing papers are from Michelle R Designs and are actually a set called 'Just for Men'!  I love using bits and pieces that shouldn't go but do!
I used a Spellbinders labels die (labels 4) to make the labels behind Kit.
I cut the fence on my sillouette, and then covered it in Red and then Gold Buff-it by Pinflare.  It was then stuck onto an acetate sheet so that I could curve it over the card to add dimension.
The sentiment Hey You, is from the fabulous Nikky Hall and is one of her freebies in the Polka Doodle Dandies facebook group.  I cut the sentiment in 2, covered it with a rough covering of red and gold buff-it and then used Fragment tags over the top.  This added another texture and media to the project.  I the covered 2 crowns which are die cut sheets from Dutch Doobadoo and a fab range can be purchased at Polkadoodles
I added some bling and flowers and I really hope that I did this gorgeous image justice :D

Here are more pics to show you right around this make:

from the top to show the domed front lol

Thank you so very much for visiting and taking the time :D  Please leave me a comment as I love reading your feedback :D

Happy Crafting and never be afraid to put your work out there!
