Love playing with new skin tones...

Hello again,

I love taking inspiration from fellow crafters, especially different colour combinations for my markers.  We all approach our colouring in a different or slightly different way, creating our own style, so when we see a tutorial or a design that we just swoon at we love to take a peek at the colours used and write them in colour journals (yes, the ever growning book where I write down all my combo's)....

So here's one of my latest combo's based on an awesome tutorial by
Using HB2 SPECTRUM NOIR in my skin tones...

Here's all the bits you need to know:
1.
Inspiration: Adding Skin Shades with HB2 by Dilyana
Link for you to check out the tutorial and give it a go:
Image: Little Darlings, Dollhouse Precious Dolls, Wings
(I wanted her to be summery but with subtle colour tones, a different interpration of Summer, half light brings such fab tone's to my garden which  was the inspiraton here) x

Spectrum Noir Markers:
Skin: FS1, 3, 7, HB2
Hair: EB6, 7, 8, True Black
Dress: GB4, 6, 7, 9
Wings : JG1, 5, 6, 7, GG2

Neenah Solar White Card
Die'sire Lace Flower die set with leaf die
Backing papers, ribbon, flowers from my stash

Here's a few more pics:

Thank you so much for stopping by and hello to my new followers :D

Tabatha has stolen my heart!

Hello there,

Woohoo, it's time for a new challenge for August with the Spectrum Noir blog and the theme is Anything Goes so, let your inner craftyness come out to play and join in.  The prize is just amazing!

Tabitha from the new Dollhouse Precious Dolls collection is just so awesome, so many different ways to colour her that I think I may just keep her on my desk!

I wanted to give her a real stand out background, hence the yellow!  I really thought she deserved to pop off the page and as yellow is a colour I usually shy away from, I thought well let's do this!

Totally pleased with how this turned out!  Happy dance...

Here's the materials I used:
Spectrum Noir markers:
Skin: TN3, FS1, 3, 7
Hair: BG1, 3, 5, 9
Clothes & Wings: GG5, DG4, 3, 2, 1,  GB8, 9, 10
Background: CT1, 2, 3

Collal all purpose and tacky glue

Crafter's Companion Mat Black card
Papers MDL (Mye De Leon Digital Scrapbook Designs) Unwind Digital Collection from Snap Click Supply printed on Linen card
