Now on to my make for this weekend.....
Monochrome eveing delights |
I started with white card 11cm square and masked a hill, then used my inking brush to brush on black momento ink (putting a heavier layer on one side of the hill to give a shadow to it and a little sense of depth). I then added a moon mask made from a post-it note (cut out with a circle punch so it was easy) and used my inking brush to lightly brush over momento London Fog ink...I used horizontal swipes of the brush always starting at the top and working towards the hill so that the ink remained heavier at the top to keep the definition of the hill. The ink as you may be able to see then fades out towards the bottom.
I then used Secret Garden stamp set from Card-io, these are great little clear stamp sets taht are so versitle. All of the flowers, folliage and the faries are in this set :) I stamped them using black versa fine so that I could capture all the detail on the tiny wings.
I then add white fairy sparkle! Using the Graph'it white shaker pen.
The shaker pen gives a great depth of colour for a white pen and worked great on the shadow background without looking transparent (which I didn't want).
I added a tail of fairy sparkle from each fairy and then got carried away and added more sparkle through the design!
Then...you guessed it!
I know I said I'd move away from the Graph'it grey's but not just yet!
The leave's bordering the evening delight are stamped using Inkylicious Skeleton leaves (a must have set) and then coloured with:
Graph'it markers 9500, 9502 and 9505
Cut out and rounded on my finger before using gel glue to raise them around the design.
(NB: the main picture was mounted on black card, then white card then another layer of black card to frame it).
The verse is one of my favourite's again from Inkylicious and was stamped on the bottom edge of a 7" x 7" white card blank, with the mounted fairy evening delight above.
The finishing touches were added... a piece of black lace from my stash and a heart made with UTEE in my melt pot! Love my melt pot :D And a few touches of clear glaze on the leaves and flowers to add a hint of dew.
I really hope you like this one, I love monochrome :)
