Hello again,

I just wanted to pop in and share another of my Spectrum Noir Educational Design Team samples for the brand new Crafter's Companion rubber stamp sets by Morgan Fitzsimmons.

Anyway, moving on (lol) for this one I decided to use one of the stamps and make her a Christmas Fairy instead...

Create a Card Box!

Hello there,

Well almost all the children/young adults back to school or college now, 1 to go on Monday so my posts may well get back to normal and  you'll see a little bit more of me!  (we still have 4 children/teenagers at home so the holidays are noisy lol)

Today I'd like to share one of my samples for the upcoming Create and Craft show next week....Crafter's Companion are back with show's starting at 8am on Monday with Create a Card A6 dies and some totally awesome Christmas Create a Card Accordion dies!  But, I'll share the Accordion samples later....I really want to share a box today.

I have made this style of box for the last launch, and it was so popular I was asked to write a tutorial showing how I made it for the Crafter's Companion Blog, (find it HERE) so I thought I'd make another but using an A6 Create a Card die ready for the show's next week.

The A6 Create a Card die's will fit in most die cutting machines vertically (expcept the Saphire) so this is a great box to make for pressies...

Here's what I used to make it...
Style: Tall Box
Die’sire Create a Card A6 Decorative Bell
Crafter’s Companion Matt Black card
Centura Pearl Hint of Gold
Crafter’s Companion Acetate
Crafter’s Companion Spray & Sparkle Iridescent
Collal All Purpose glue, Crafter’s Companion red liner tape

Easy Crystals

The Spray and Sparkle really makes a shimmer to black card!  Here's the close ups..

Thank you for stopping by and I hope you pop by again soon x

It's Friday! YAY

Hello again,

It's Friday YAY and so it's my turn to share an inspiration make for Slinky Tart and if you haven't found the new range yet over at Spunky Tart you really need to hop on over...Tamara is drawing up a storm with some new and edgy designs :D

So, here is my make...

Here's the important stuff!  The how's and the what's...

Image: No Thug by Spunky Tart (Tamara's alternative style to Slinky Tart) Top Tip:  hair colouring is fun!  If you are using Copic's try something out of your comfort zone, just start with a light combo!  That way you have darker shades to go to and overlay if you don't like the results!
Papers: Gough It Up! by Spunky Tart (yep...named after me by the gorgeous Tamara xxx)
Die cuts:
DieSire Edge'ables Wishing You a Happy Birthday
Joanna Sheen bunting die
The how...a simple mat and layer design with the addition of a 3D sentiment using the Edge'able die...I loooooove these new dies!
I matted the die cut several times and backed it with card to give a solid piece, I then curved it and secured it in place with hot glue....Top Tip...use a large blog of glue because the card wants to pop flat and we don't want it too!  A big blob of glue helps us win the battle :D

Here's some more pics:

I really hope you love No Thug as much as I do (did I mention you get the sentiment too!) and thank you for stopping by :D

Check out the rest of this weeks inspiration makes over at The Slinky Tart Blog

Shades of Summer...

Hello again,

It's time for some 'shades of summer'!  That's the theme for this months challenge over at Crafting Muskateers Challenge Blog...we would love you to come and join in the challenge.

The sponsor this month is The Hobby House, a totally awesome prize so lets get ready, set and go.....

'Shades of Summer' inspiration:

You know those feelings you get when you are really happy with what you've created?  Doesn't happen often for me but this one really did make me smile :D

Here's the how and the what's:

Supplies from Crafters Companion
Cardstock: Hint of silver Centura Pearl 300gsm card; Coordinations card; Black Card
Die used: Die'Sire Create a Card Lace Butterfly (seriously if you haven't got this yet, please take a peek....it is so gorgeous and versatile).
Accented by Pebeo Gilding Wax

Supplies from The Hobby House
Embellishment: Lace; Pearl String

From Stash: bakers twine and key

The 'how' is so easy with the Create A Card range of dies... I made a 6 x 6 inch card base using Hint of Silver Centura Peal card ; the Lace Butterfly Create a Card is 6x6 inches.  Lay the die onto the Centura Pearl card and simply run through the Cut n Boss.
Then use Coordinations card (6 x 6) and run the die through again.  Then lay it carefully over the Centura Pearl you cut before...the raise the wings on both pieces...you will be able to create a double wing look (see photo's) by doing this.
I then rubbed gilding wax over the raised areas and then added lace and pearls to the body of the Butterfly and a final touch using the key and bakers twine.

Here's the close ups:

Thank you so much for stopping by and it would be great if you would click to follow me so I can share more of my makes with you :D

Don't forget to check out the Crafting Muskateers Challenge this month, remember the theme is 'shades of summer' so it time to get that summer feeling rocking the craft room :D

Happy Crafting :D

Are You Ready....Launching today....

Hello again,

Launch day is here!

Tune into Create and Craft today, Tomorrow and Wednesday to see the brand new die's by Crafters Companion

Only Words dies are just a crafty must have and I already shared one sneak peek...see the post HERE if you missed it...but here is another of die's in action.

These new Edge'ables are so easy to use and the great thing is that you don't have to use them in the card base, you can easily use up some of your scraps and off-cuts as I have done in the card above.
I have used coordinations card left overs and run some of them through the Embossalicious Dotty Embossing Folder

I have used white card to die cut the On Your Anniversary Edge'able die and then simply matted it onto more off-cuts!

I have used the free die with issue 6 of Crafters Inspiration magazine by Crafters Companion to cut the flower and then added Frantage, pink Perfect Pearls and a few Candy bits...done :D

Here's some more pics:

I really hope you can tune into the show's...

I have more samples on the shows, but for now I'll say thank you so much for popping by and I really really do appreciate every comment and view :D xxx

Happy Crafting :D
