Spectrum Noir's October Challenge has started...

Hello there,

A quick post from me to let you all know that its October (anyone else feel this year has run away!) and so that means a new Challenge with Spectrum Noir

Entering couldn't be easier, just head over to the Facebook page HERE
Under the header, click on 'contest' and fill in the form, attach your pic and add a little description of what you've used to make it.
Just remember, you have to use at least one Spectrum Noir product to enter.

Here's my design team inspiration for you with this months theme that is...
Create with Grey and or Orange

FRONT OF BOOKMARK

BACK OF BOOKMARK

As my twins headed to college (post 16) a lot of books were in their future so I made them book marks with a difference!
This is a full A6 tent fold card with a pocket on the back so they can add the page marker sticky notes, so they are nice and handy.

Of course I added a couple of inspiration journalling cards because I just can't help myself when using Graphic 45! lol

Inside is a magnet that holds the bookmark tight shut when on the page, see the pics below xxx

Here's what I used:
Style: Tent fold magnetic bookmark (with back pocket)
Image: Saturated Canary – Bookworm
Spectrum Noir markers:
Skin: TN3, FS9, 4, 2, CR3
Hair: OR2, 3, EB3, 7
Clothes: IG1, 2, 4, 6, 9, True Black
Others: TB1, 2, 3, CR2, 3, 4,
Plus orange and brown fine liners
Materials:
Crafter’s Companion Matt Black card
Neenah Solar White
Collal All Purpose glue, Crafter’s Companion red liner tape

Graphic 45 paper pad – Typography; magnetic strips
Sentiment - Ginger's House

Reading is SO important and I love how I've managed to instill in my children that the computer and e-stuff cannot replace the feeling of curling up and loosing yourself in a book, turning the 'physical' pages and that excitment of needing to know what happens next.

Don't forget to enter the challenge...

Happy hugs

Gorgeous flowers on a hot summer day...

Hello again,

Two post in one day!  I need to lay down lol

I just wanted to pop in to share a sample I made for the HSN (US) Craft shows today with Sara Davis.  She's there to show you all some gorgeous Crafters Companion goodies.  The website links for  you to check out what's new are:
US site - http://www.crafterscompanion.com/
UK site - http://www.crafterscompanion.co.uk/

For this sample I used the glorious A little Bit Sketchy Orchids rubber stamp set by Sheena, and you can catch this and more must have stamps with Sara on HSN later today (but be quick because the new Edgeable dies sold out earlier today!)

My regular followers will know that paper folding and mini journals have sort of taken over my crafty brain recently!  But I managed to contain myself and went half way here, creating a gift card holder with space for a journalling note or a quick pick on the right hand side!

Here's what I used - all supplies are available from Crafters Companion UK or Crafters Companion US

Style: Gift Card Wallet
Image: Orchid and sentiment, Sheena’s Laguna Stamp range
CC materials:
Spectrum Noir’s: LV1, 2, 3, GB8, TN3, LG3, DG5
Paper: Neenah card, backing papers from Times
Gone By CD, CC Black Card
Collal All Purpose glue, 3mm red liner tape
Big score

Other bits: Black micron pen

Sara Davis will be on HSN live again later today, so here's the times so you can watch or set record so you don't miss a thing :D

Here's a couple for pics:

Thank you for stopping by and I'd love to read your comments and feedback on my crafty make :D

Happy Crafting
