Spring is Blooming

Hello there,

Just thought I'd pop on my blog to share some Spring blooms with you all.

The die's used for the flowers are of course from the Crafter's Companion Die'sire Classiques collection, Delicate Flowers

The size is a landscape fold 5" x 7" and I had a relaxing session watercolouring this epic stamp

And here's the list of what I used
Die’sire Essential Delicate Flower die set
Die’sire Fancy Edge’able; Fancy Lattice
Spectrum Sparkle Pens:  Sage, Fig, Sand Dune, Biscuit, Teacup
Spectrum Aqua Markers: Sunflower, Sunset, Moss
Crafter’s Companion Thelwell Stamp
Downton Abbey Paper pad
Crafter's Companion Cream Stamping Card and Matt Black Card
Collal all Purpose glue, Collal Tacky Glie

Pearls from stash

As an added extra I have multi layered the inside of the card with matching papers.  I always think this really does smarten up the appearance of the card, but that could be just me lol

Thank you for stopping by and don't forget to hop over to the Spectrum Noir webpage to see lots of how too's and step by step posts to inspire you xxx

April Inspiration...

Hello there,

I found a fabulous tutorial for my inspired by post this month as a part of the Spectrum Noir Education Design Team...its using yellows!

Not a simple thing for me, it's not a colour I am drawn too and seem to dodge if I can.  I'm not sure why but its always seemed a strange colour to me lol

So, in the spirit of pushing out of my comfort zone I have used a fabulous tutorial and you can find it HERE by Mari Kocjancic

Here's what I used to make him:
Inspired by previous tutorial:

Stepping into Spring Colours

Hello there,

I decided to use another of the new release images from That Craft Place to bring some spring colour onto my crafty desk (and yes, its watercolour and those that know me know I can't do anything without making a mess lol) so I'd love to share it with you.

No spring flowers, but instead a fabulous Sun and spring colours in the image and papers, just a touch, as to me, Spring is about colour just starting to push through the grey haze of winter skies.

Here's the list of the lovely materials I used to make it xx

Style: Centre Stepper
Image: That Craft Place
Spectrum Aqua Markers:
Clothes - Aquamarine, Sepia, Chocolate, Boulder
Skin – Desert, Jasmine, Peach
Hair – Chocolate Sepia
Sun – Yellow
Spectrum ColorBlend Pencils: Maroon, Flame Red, Maple &
Denim Blue
Crafter’s Companion Watercolour card
Crafter’s Companion Chocolate Centura Pearl
Collal All Purpose glue, Tacky Glue and 3D glue gel
Die’sire 1” Alphabet Die set

MDF shapes, Glitter Structure Paste, Papers from Stash
