An Alternative Christmas make!

Hello again,

I love alternative Christmas makes and the new challenge over at Outlawz Challenge Blog for the progressive/freebie challenge gave me the perfect chance!

The Freebie/Progressive Challenge with the Outlawz, once you are a member of the site and group, will send a free image to all members each month and we get to all play with the image and post it in the group...its great to see so many interpretations of the same image :D

The sponsor image this month is from Simply B Stamps and here's my make...

I have not made an alternative Christmas card before and I love love love how this turned out!  One of my twins (15yrs old) has already ear-marked it as hers to give to her best friend lol

Here's what I used:
Image: Simply B Stamps
Colour and card:  I used Graph'it Markers onto 300gsm super smooth card from That Craft Place
Backing paper:  Digital paper from That Craft Place on Etsy - its fabulous because its an outline doodle design so I used my markers to colour in random hearts in red, green and black to match in with the theme of the card!
Embellies: scrabble tile letters I've had for a long time; flower, ribbon, bling ribbon, Buff It by Pinflair in red and gold, are available at That Craft Place

No in-depth 'how I did it' this time, just a short note you'll be pleased to hear lol
I matted the image on red and black to frame it and coloured the edges with Pinflair Buff It in red and gold (I use my finger to do this but then again I don't mind getting messy lol).  I coloured random hearts on the backing with my makers in red, black and green and then layered it together.
The skull banner is cut using my silhouette and I cut it oversized so I could dome it over the top of the image and that too is edged with the Buff It.
The I layered on the embellies.  Again, I don't have a real plan for this...I just take a pile of stash in the right'ish colour tones and then start layering...I call them junk piles lol

Here's the close ups

I really hope you like this one as much as I do :D

Thank you for popping by and for all the visits to my blog, I really really appreciate your visits and comments xxx

Happy Crafting :D
